The Kids Department is an education and recreation facility run by fully qualified staff. We put on courses for kids between the ages of 8 and 16, based around beach activities.

This exciting new programme teaches children to acknowledge the importance of their local beach environment and how to enjoy the sea safely and responsibly.
The course itinerary is shown below.
Understanding the Sea
Wave formation, rips, beach topography and tides
What is sand and why is the sea blue and salty?
What is the role of lifeguards?
Beach safety equipment, flags, arm and whistle signals
Basic First Aid





A beach party in every sense of the word!
Our parties take pass the parcel to the beach. To create the ultimate birthday bash for any child we can offer the following;

On special request our resident Pirate ‘Tall Tom Copper’ will accompany
and lead activities with the children.
A minimum of six children per party, each party lasts 2 hours suitable for 8-16 year olds.

This really is an activity. Snurfkling is our crème de la crème of activities for children. When there is no surf what is better than taking out a surf board and a snorkel mask and seeing what lies beneath.
What is involved?
Combing basic surfing skills and snorkelling
Discovering the sea floor from above
Different types marine plant life
Indigenous marine creatures
Feel what its like to float along with a shoal of fish
Look back at the coastline from the sea

Well why not come to our classroom on the beach!
Eco~Coasterring is a new innovative learning experience. Let our qualified staff take your children on an
‘up close and personal’ view of their coastline.
What does this involve?
Clambering over rocks and in caves
Discovering and seeing nature in it’s own undisturbed habitat
Chest height wading through rock pools
Jumping into the water
Swimming with the marine life
Won’t that be a bit dangerous and cold?
Every child will be issued with a wet-suit, buoyancy aid, helmet and whistle.
What a brilliant memory for any child and teacher!
